"Hi:

Two things

1) I’d like your permission to (re)print your article on Fareed Zakaria for our website

2) I was hoping we could use your ‘scribing’ talent for our website.

The Best Shows Youre Not Watching (dot) com [all one word]

‘The Clone Wars’ is one of our featured shows. We’re hoping to round up a few people who can occasionally contribute perspective (via an article/blog) on the shows – maybe a recent episode, future direction, plot shortcomings etc.

What’s in it for you?
Primarily a larger audience back channeled to your blog. We don’t pay but the site has a lot of promise and we're pretty excited about getting it off the ground. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Thanks for finding me and the kind words! This week's Citizen Radio is indeed "The Chomsky." I will be whoring the link across the vast landscape of the Internets once it's up tomorrow.

This Bloomberg news thing is weird, or at least unfamiliar to me. They don't actually have a 'paper' of sorts, neither in print nor online editions. They do do financial reporting on a TV channel and online, then some sort of other thing they call news grafted on to the corner.

Me not working for Bloomberg, so I can only guess the editorial procedure, in that an editor would not have too much use since they're not limited to print space; so comes this article from Amity attacking bloggers in her 'online-only?' article written and posted in rather blogger-esque fashion.

Shlaes’s weird mental contortionist act
:-)

On your old "In Defence of Pirates" article I only just read last week, I think I first picked it up on Huff. Post and also found it linked to on other websites. And there isn't much going pass my brain while reading through the comments on the various spots, "Stupid people are still allowed on the internet.". "Oh my, the revolting bloodlust."

Anyways, looking forward to this week's Citizen Radio. Chomsky?... that is one freaky as transcript, it's like reading a book.

Yes, how <strong>are</strong> we going to do that? Maybe some phone calls and an email campaign? Hm? :)

Thanks for writing!

Shales' obviously forgot how a proper journalist should operate; one crucial key to be a creditable journalist is fact checking, without which would throw out critical thinking, and dump in a whole load of soundbite'ing and taking things on face value alone.

I'm guessing Shales voted for the Dems, forgot about being critical (which is even more embarrassing for journo writing for a firm news outlet, because in the public eye the big boys are supposed to be more creditable) and takes Obama's rhetoric on the nice sounding bits.
One may have voted for the Democrats, but that don't make the party one chose all right and knowing. And when your government you voted for triangulates and backstabs the country, you more than have a right to get angry and hold them fully accountable as the candidates you did not vote for. Screw the honeymoon period; if the newly elected administration starts a war, or in this case the Obama administration escalating the situation in Afghanistan; you as a journalist MUST hold them accountable as you would any else whether you like them or not.

Now Allison, how are we going to get you onto Journal with Bill Moyers for some of this 'debate' thingo?
